Healthy ingredients for better digestion
When we talk about fresh ingredients, we mean delicious stuff like salmon, turkey, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, and even wild boar. That’s right, seaweed. What does seaweed have to do with healthy dogs and their poop? Well, quite a lot actually.
- For one, seaweed is chock full of dietary fiber. Fiber, as you may know, is a really, really important part of regular pooping. Without enough of it, constipation and the other unpleasant things that go with it, can easily set in.
- Seaweed contains prebiotics, which are biological compounds that help maintain good gut health.
We mammals tend to need a little bit of help in digesting our food, you see. Your dog, like you, has a large population of friendly bacteria living in their intestines. These friendly little bugs assist your dog in breaking food down so that the body can absorb the nutrients contained in it.
